Neat And Discreet

Nearly half (48%) of individuals with hearing loss say that concerns over a hearing instrument’s visibility factors into their decision to postpone wearing a hearing instrument. The good news is that research also shows that those in need of a hearing instrument would be 30-40% more likely to get one if it were virtually invisible to onlookers. To meet this demand for discreet and diminutive hearing instruments, manufacturers provide two types of hearing instruments that fit inside the ear canal. An “in-the-canal” instrument is custom molded and fits partly in the ear canal; it is less visible than larger types of instruments. A “completely-in-the-canal” instrument fits entirely in the ear canal, where it is virtually invisible to the eye.

Smile, laugh, talk, listen, and live again with a custom-fitted hearing instrument from The Ear Clinic. We pledge to provide you with professional services from an audiologist and the hearing device best suited to your individual needs to help improve your quality of life. As mentioned above, many devices today are virtually invisible, doing away with the stigma some feel when wearing a hearing aid. Do you or someone you love have a hearing impairment? Come see us for a complimentary hearing evaluation, the first step toward better hearing. To schedule an appointment, please call us at 46 Nelson Street W., across from the LCBO, 226-909-0966.

P.S. Completely-in-the-canal hearing instruments take advantage of the outer ear’s natural sound-gathering shape to produce natural sound quality.
