Our Commitment to Change

Dr. Brenda Tullio's journey into audiology was inspired by personal experiences that opened her eyes to the challenges faced by individuals with communication barriers.

After witnessing a close friend struggle to relearn basic communication skills following a serious accident, Dr. Tullio’s path to becoming an audiologist became clear.

With almost 20 years of experience, Dr. Tullio is dedicated to improving the lives of others through quality hearing healthcare.

International Outreach

International Outreach

In the summer of 2016, Dr. Tullio and her son embarked on a transformative trip to the Dominican Republic with the Haitian Humanitarian Assistance and Relief Team (HHART). Working alongside Rotary Clubs from Central Canada, this mission aimed to enhance the quality of life for disadvantaged families, primarily of Haitian descent.

During this mission, Dr. Tullio and her son helped address basic needs such as education and healthcare for those living in poverty. The heartbreaking historical context of these individuals – recruited for labour then left without documentation – deepened the impact of the work. Many faced barriers to education and healthcare, trapped in challenging conditions.

Over the course of just four days, Dr. Tullio performed 18 essential hearing tests and fitted five individuals with donated hearing aids. This access to care significantly altered their lives, allowing them to engage with their families and communities in ways they had never imagined.

Sound Therapy

This approach uses external sounds to mask the tinnitus, making it less noticeable. Customized sound solutions allow you to experience soothing sounds that help redirect your focus.

Counselling

Psychological support is an effective component of tinnitus management. By adopting coping strategies, you can reduce the emotional impact of your symptoms.

Hearing Aids

For many, tinnitus accompanies hearing loss. Hearing aids can enhance external sounds, making tinnitus less noticeable and improving communication in daily life.
